Urgent need for flood relief in Clackamas County

Last week’s flood left members of our Clackamas County community in urgent need. While CCVOAD is still assessing unmet needs, it is certain that some residents may face long-term housing and recovery challenges. Many of those impacted are vulnerable populations who carry FEMA flood insurance. While these homeowners will be able to have their homes repaired or replaced, the process could take months. We also anticipate there will be homeowners who need other services, have limited insurance, or, though less likely, no insurance at all.

The Challenge:

  • Residents with FEMA flood insurance do not receive housing assistance, yet must continue paying their mortgages and cannot afford additional housing.
  • Some residents may require other services and lack the resources or finances to cover these gaps.

Community Action is needed:

CCVOAD is making a request for donations to directly support impacted households with much needed disaster relief funding. All donations received will be directly programed through our CCVOAD Unmet Needs Roundtable our roundtable group consists member organizations that review and approves all individual assistance requests in an equitable fashion. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
