The Polluters Pay Act would create a superfund with billions of dollars. It would allow the state to recoup costs to prepare for wildfires, droughts and heat domes and recover from them.
Oregon is building a movement of 40 coalitions to pass a Make Polluters Pay bill in 2026. Oregon taxpayers should not be the ones paying for the costs of extreme weather.
