Good Grief Retreat — Camp Collins, Oxbow Park, Nov. 14–16, 2025

Good Grief Retreat

Grief is like water, it moves through us, around us, sometimes pulling us under. But when held in community, grief can transform into a stream we learn to float within, together.

We invite you to Good Grief, a free 3-day retreat for Black folks and members of the African diaspora who have lost loved ones to drugs or alcohol. Through ancestral rituals, storytelling, rest, and nature, we will honor our grief and begin the journey of healing together.

Why This Retreat Matters

Grief tied to addiction is too often silenced, stigmatized, or endured alone. This retreat creates a sacred space for Black folks to grieve without shame, reconnect to ancestral wisdom, and walk together toward healing.

Funded by Spirit Mountain and the Oregon Community Foundation, this offering is grounded in love, justice, and collective care.
